The Wild Garden Workshop

This workshop is in Gortahork at Ourganic Gardens and is an informal and fun class.  The class is packed full of information and advice on how to forage and to use these foods in our everyday cooking.

Sian demonstrates how to make Strawberry & Elderflower Jam and Blackberry & Apple Coriander Crumble.  Everyone gets to make and eat their own crumble.  There will be great discussion about the best crumble toppings and we will get to try out a few.

Joanne takes us  all on a foraging walk to include a look at top ten wild plants around the garden plus how to propagate Elderflower plants and use them at home.

There is a coffee break with some lovely home baked treats and lunch based around what has been made on then day, highlighting seasonal produce from Joanne's garden.

This workshop is packed full of information about cooking and foraging and both Joanne and Sian are available to answer questions and supply information about utilising foraged foods at home.

All equipment and ingredients are supplied including aprons and recipes and there is a goodie bag to take home worth approximately €15.

Everyone is asked to wear sensible footwear.
