This is a great opportunity to have a foodie day out with family or friends or come along on your own. Learn all about summer fruits, how to grow, pick, store and cook with them and have fun while you are doing it.
Sian from Wild Fuschia Bakehouse teams up with Joanne from Ourganic Gardens to deliver a wonderful class packed full of amazing flavours and information all about Summer Fruits. The class takes place on Sunday 26th July in Gortahork, at Ourganic Gardens from 10.00 am to 2.00pm. All the equipment, ingredients and recipes are provided. There is plenty of time for chatting and questions over coffee and lunch and everyone gets a goodie bag worth €15 to take home with them. For full class description see below.

Summer Fruits Workshop
This workshop takes place in Gortahork at Ourganic Gardens. It is an informal and fun class, packed full of information and advice on how to grow and cook with Summer fruits.
Sian will show you how to make pastry, crème patisserie & a glaze for the fruit tarts. Everyone will then get to line, bake and dress their own tarts with crème patisserie and raspberries/strawberries.
Joanne will cover how to grow soft fruit from cuttings, how to feed and maintain your fruit plants and strawberry care 101. Joanne also covers how to thin apple trees for a more productive bounty.
There is a coffee break with some lovely home baked treats and lunch will highlight seasonal produce from Joanne's garden.
This workshop is packed full of information about cooking and growing summer fruits and both Joanne and Sian are available to answer questions and supply information about utilising and growing fruit at home.
All equipment and ingredients are supplied including aprons and recipes and there is a goodie bag to take home worth approximately €15.
Everyone is asked to wear sensible footwear.
