If you want to have a fun day out with family or friends or come along on your own to learn all about making great scones, the perfect pastry and pie fillings and then top it all off with making gorgeous chocolate truffles, this is the class for you.  Sian and Cindy from Donegal Wild Atlantic Flavours teams up with Helen O’Hagan from An Panc Patisserie to deliver a class packed full of information and flavours.  The class will take place on Saturday 20th July at Corcreggan Mill, from 10.00 am to 2.30pm and refreshments, lunch and a goodie bag worth €25 is included in the price of €90.  For full class description see below.

Baking & Chocolate Workshop

Sian from Donegal Wild Atlantic Flavours will kick off the morning showing you how to make scones before you get stuck in and make your own.  This is followed by a demonstration on how to make gorgeous raspberry Jam to go with the scones. There will be plenty of tips and tricks that Sian has learnt over the years as owner of Wild Fuschia Bakehouse and they will help make baking and jam making that little bit easier.

After a short coffee break with scones and raspberry jam, Helen O'Hagan from An Panc Patisserie, another fabulous local entrepreneur, living in Donegal will deliver her Class.  Helen will show you how to make perfect pastry and then guide you through the process of how to line your tins and fill your tarts with a variety of fillings before you make your own.  Helen will also use Cindy's chocolate to make a rich decadent chocolate ganache tart.

After this hands-on Cookery class we enjoy lunch, sampling more of Donegal’s finest produce.

Cindy from Donegal Wild Atlantic Flavours will introduce you to the wonderful world of chocolate, by delving into its history, production, and taste, giving you an unparalleled understanding of this decadent treat and the story behind Cindy’s company, Coco Milis that produces bean to bar chocolate. Cindy will then demonstrate how to make chocolate truffles and discuss her bean to bar chocolate process. Participants will get the opportunity to experiment with the chocolate and some great flavours in what will be a fun tasting!

All participants get to take a goodie bag home worth approximately €25 and recipes are emailed out after the class.
