A Taste of History
This is a great opportunity to have a foodie day out with family or friends where you get to make bread, sample fresh jams and gins and explore a little of the local history. The class and tour takes 2-2.5 hours and a class can be organised on a date that suits you.
These classes are for a minimum of 4 people and includes tea/coffee and refreshments, the tour of the old Workhouse and a small goodie bag to take away.

A Taste of History Cookery Class
Sian from Wild Fuschia Bakehouse specialises in baking breads, cakes and preserves and has lots of tips and tricks to help in the kitchen.
There are refreshments and tastings during the Workshops and at the end you can explore the Dunfanaghy Workhouse and learn a little about the history of the local area. The Dunfanaghy Workhouse includes the remarkable story of Wee Hannah a survivor of the Famine and resident of the Dunfanaghy Workhouse. Wee Hannah's story was written by her benefactor Mrs Law and she is buried in the old graveyard above Dunfanghy at Kill.
All participants get to take home a small goodie bag and all the equipment, ingredients and recipes are supplied.
